A TDK Suggestion.

G35 Dude's picture

I heard that some people want TDK to be four lanes now ? OK, how about this. We make it a four lane TOLL ROAD ? That way Fayette County/PTC gets re-paid for something that we're probably going to have to do anyway. The money could also help keep up the other Fayette Co/PTC roads that will be used much more after TDK is built. I know, it's probably not legal huh ?

You all are so funny. No one will need to come to PTC
or Fayette County soon because of the HUGE Dillard/JCP
Barnes & Noble, Georgian theatre MALL near the 34th
and Bullsboro area. That area has about 500 new
restaurants that aren't the same old chains too.
Soon, PTC will be landlocked with
no where to grow just like Fayetteville (now called
Riverdale II). Seriously, do you not prefer the
Georgian theatres compared to Tinsel Town?
Don't think it's gonna be one-way INTO PTC
more like OUT!!! You're being closed off without
TDK...you numbsculls!!!

This is the best idea I have heard yet.
Of course if harold is still mayor he'll find a way to channel the money to his "poor banker, and destruction friends, ooops I mean developer friends.

We could use that money for our city employees ....police, fire, and public works.. for colas and health and retirement benefits.. Not the city manager, or mayor.

A toll road would be great! Maake it one way toll so you have to pay to enter PTC. Let's guess how long it will be before someone says that a toll road wouldn't be fair to the poor people.

If Munford's traffic estimates are even half accurate (a big if) a one-way 50-cent toll would raise $2,000 a day or $730,000 a year. That's almost as much as we spent on the bridge to nowhere land and this is income - year after year. Of course if you put government in charge of collecting the toll, they would figure out a way to get the expenses up above $2,000 per day and you'd be right back where you started.

I know you all are kidding, but I actually think a toll road is a good idea.

What would be the problem with creating a toll road? Mitchell's conference center dream would go down the tubes, but other than that is there a problem?

I wonder if Mitchell was smart enough to exclude a toll road from his agreement with Harold? Well, you can't always think of everything.

A toll road - great idea. Let's pursue that idea.

and all of the money needs to go to our city employees, except for our drunk manager and mayor. They are not worth the penny I found on the path today.
