How cool is this. I've casted 7 votes on this poll thus far. And nobody had to die for me to do it. Please, oh please, oh please put a time limit on these polls. How about changing this poll on a regular basis or let me manage it.

Hey, we don't all vote twice.... just the live ones. Eye-wink Like you guys are any better!

But enough of you do. It would be silly to dispute that fact. Anyways...doesn't matter "us guys" expect it. Eye-wink

But spare me.... I am a former extremely active "you guys" and I can vouch that voting twice was not where we placed our efforts. Now I think I'm just a "me guy". Sad

You probably went back for "seconds" when Baskin-Robbins was giving away free tastes too.

Smart man.

"The payments will include $375,912 in interest and $132,736 in other expenses, thus increasing the city's actual cost to $1.426 million, said Ted Meeker, Peachtree City's attorney."

Peachtree City settles 2 lawsuits

Funny that Ted Meeker never mentioned that at the City Council meeting.

They are trying to spoon feed us the settlement. I agree settling was the right decision, I just wish they would be honest about the whole thing. But I guess some of us wish for things we can't have - like fur. Love ya dude!

Council Member Judi Rutherford was totally right when she said that Bob Lenox and his bunch let accountability fly out the window. She was also right that Peachtree National's Tom Farr behaved badly and caused us all a great deal of trouble and expense. She had the guts to say we shouldn't do crooked deals.

If Steve Brown's letter to the editor is even half right on how the city council came up with the settlement figure, they should all be lined up and shot.

In fact the only thing about Brown's letter that was right is he named some of the players and spelled his own name correctly. He fails to address why he didn't have the courage to discipline individual members by removing them for cause from the Development Authority - one by one instead of upsetting the whole apple cart in a much more dramatic and self-promoting move. Happy to be rid of the man-child.

Rutherford was grandstanding for her constituents and supporters so she can get re-elected next year.

Was not city's debt. It was the development authority's debt. They assumed the city would pay for it and so did the bank.
Why do so many people think that all bank debts must be paid? They are just another business and if they make a mistake they must pay.
What if the Tennis Center had borrowed the money from one of the bottom feeder banks at 28% interest? Would the council have paid it?
Apparently, there is an "understanding" there someplace between certain businessmen.

Keep it fresh. Boy, you'll get the pot a stirrin again over that one. Smiling
