Sandy Creek High School Marching Patriots

I would like to thank all of the people that donated money to the Sandy Creek Marching Patriots' trip to Chicago to march in the McDonald's State Street Thanksgiving Day Parade and to the Citizen for advertising our fundraising opportunities. It was a lot of fun, but the parade was not broadcast down here. However, it has been uploaded to Chicago's ABC station. making the trip to Flowery Branch for the playoff game! The football team can always depend on you for support. I mean, ya'll are the band that went to Carrollton, got in the stands half way through the first quarter, played two songs, left 7 minutes before halftime to warm up. Then took the 3rd quarter off and played twice more during the fourth quarter.

Before all the band members get upset, I know you guys don't decide when to play...its up to your Director. Someone make sure he sees this.

Congratulations on the Chicago trip though.

That's pretty sad not to have the school band accompany you to playoffs. Creekside was awesome during halftime at their playoff game at Northgate. I would ask for answers from the administration since I think they have the final say.

Sandy Creeks band is no different than any other band in the county. They think the football games exist for them to practice their chamber music for these festivals they go to. Don't look for anything to change. The supt. is a former beater and blower so the band can pretty much do anything they choose without any cause for concern.
