In memory
Members of the local American Legion Posts presented a wreath at the Peachtree City Veteran’s Day remembrance ceremony at the city’s veterans memorial Friday morning. Veterans were thanked for their sacrifices in protecting American’s freedoms during the early-morning event.

Very sloppy reporting. I know that the PTC Veterans Memorial is sponsored by VFW Post 9949. It wasn't just "American Legion Posts" at the Veterans Day service. The Commander of VFW Post 9949 was the master of ceremonies. The wreath is being placed by the Quartermaster of VFW Post 9949 and either the Commander or Past Commander of American Legion Post 105 and is stored in the QM's attic year round. It is brought out twice a year, for Memorial Day & Veterans Day. Even in years when there have been no Veterans Day service the Quartermaster has placed the wreath at the PTC Veterans Memorial and taken it down at dusk. When rain showers or high winds come up the QM has removed the wreath and put it in storage to preserve it for further use..

Ah, John and watchdog corrector. Thank you both for the information.

The Wonderful thing is that this story was covererd, and the Clarification is also very appreciated. The site is one of honor and fills my heart with Pride and Respect each time I pass by.

Thanks again to the VFW for their acts, and thanks to the American Legion Posts as well, but the clarification is appreciated.

Notice the wonderful gentlemen placing the wreath, whom I'm sure were proud to participate and need no name recognition. I still recognize you though. Thanks again!
