Chiefs and Lady Patriots start basketball season with wins

The McIntosh varsity boys basketball team started their season on Tuesday night with a 73-48 win over Northgate. The Chiefs were led by 16 points from KC Erickson, while Cameron Rich added 12 points and Devin Bertke added 11 points.

McIntosh will host Fayette County on Tuesday with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys following at 7:30 p.m. Northgate will host Creekside on Tuesday with games at the same time.

East Coweta’s Lady Indians started the season with a 57-26 loss to Warner Robins. They will host Sandy Creek on Tuesday. The Lady Patriots started ther season with a 52-27 win over W.D. Mohammed.
Starr’s Mill will host Banneker on Tuesday, while Whitewater will play at Alexander

Somehow the basketball reporter missed that the McIntosh Lady Chiefs also won their opening game last Tuesday night 49-30 over Northgate (this game immediately preceded the boys game that was reported in the article above). Maybe there just wasn't enough space to print their score. At least Sandy Creek's Lady Patriots got their win reported!

Congrats Lady Chiefs!

I'm somewhat disappointed at the basketball reporting this year as well, for boys and girls. I believe it is beneficial that we post game repost as you did, for all schools. MB is a very busy man and he cannot be everywhere at the same time. I think there is a section titled "You report" where we can do that.
