The end, unhappily

Whitewater senior Tavoris Dixon crumples to the ground as the Brunswick Pirates celebrate their come-from-behind victory over the Wildcats Friday night. Whitewater, appearing in the playoffs for the first time, led most of the game but a field goal from Brunswick broke a 20-all tie to cinch it.

I am not Odoyle...that's why I gave him credit for the blog that he left (-Odoyle). he makes a valid point...that is why I reposted it geared towards you and others. I love football, as I have children who actually play the sport in Fayette County. What bothers me is that everytime there is any article written about Whitewater, you and others have to leave nasty and demeaning comments, every single time.
As parents, we are all proud of our children. If you have children who play, you are proud of them and their team no matter where they go. I, and other WHS supporters should be able to read an article without the constant bickering and slander that follows.
I don't post after articles about your favorite teams. Your program is not perfect, neither are the athletes or parents that back them up. But as a parent of one of these children, I would never come into a public forum and insult them. They are children for heavens sake. I would especially never call out one of the children out by name and insult them.
I love football...I love high school football, but people like you tarnish an innocent game. You should enjoy it for the raw talent and entertainment value that it gives. If you really love football, you would appreciate that from any team (including WHS). I can tell you that while I don't follow every team, and am not particularlly a huge fan of Starr's Mill...The quarterback is amazing. The quarterback from Creekside is amazing...we haven't seen the last of them on the football field.
What bothers me the most is that you think that only people with the same opinion as you are right. You are so closed minded that you can't even entertain the idea that any other opinions exist. That is obnoxious at best.
I only ask that you keep your comments about children that you don't know dignified or keep them to yourself. It is not necessary to use a child's name in a blog.
Having said that, my children and I will be at the next playoff game for Starr's Mill. I know and adore many of the football players and cheerleaders, as do my children. Maybe I will be sitting next to you, and as a true 2-AAAA fan I will be very happy if they win so that they may go on to represent this region.

why are people so angry
Just read more blogs about high school football than I ever care to - and likely will ever read again -

why are some of these bloggers so worked up and angry, epsecially if the team they favor won the game.

They sound like the kind of people who get thrown out of little league games by officials who have had enough of their nonsensical jibber jabber in their ears.

One the one hand, glad you have an outlet to vent and glad it's something I can read and not have to listen to

On the other hand, enough already. It's three days after the games and you're still spouting off as if you're in some smoky sports bar debating people who actually care about what you have to say.

Good luck to all the student athletes that are playing this week and congratulations to the others who played hard this season but came up short. - Odoyle

will end up graduating from a Clayco school. The blue devil folks who have been paying the rent and keeping him at WW will have no use now that they have fallen flat on the faces. They got what they deserved

I will be curious to see the tee shirt and screensavers that come from this game.

Surely the "Kings of the County" (Sandy Creek excluded) and the "Only Real Cat's in Town" will have something 'witty'.

"One and Done" comes to mind.

but most of them are of the WW players and coaching wearing their priceless tshirts. They recruited the best players the blue devils had to offer and they have won exactly the same number of playoff games as McIntosh. Yeah, one and done sounds about right
