Palmetto Police are seeking a man in connection with an Oct. 31 home invasion. Residents in the home sustained no injuries in the incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 PM when Cpl. Mike Upshur and Officer Ray Preston responded to a Cobb Street residence. Upon arriving, officers interviewed the home owner, an 88 year-old woman. The woman told officers she and her 41 year-old daughter heard a window break on the back porch, according to Det. John Cooper.

The woman said a man entered the home and demanded money. The man was in the home approximately 20 minutes. When no money was found, he took a VCR, DVD player, assorted jewelry and a jar of pennies before fleeing through the back door, Cooper said.

The man was described as black male with a medium complexion, 40-45 years of age, 5’7”-5’10” in height and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He wore a dark jacket and pants and a dark-colored ball cap, said Cooper.

Anyone with information relating to this home invasion is asked to contact Det. John Cooper at Palmetto Police at (770) 463-9068.
