Fayetteville Police are looking for a jewelry thief with expensive tastes who purloined an $8,000 ring from a local store Saturday, Oct. 21. The unidentified suspect stole the ring while pretending to be a customer at the Friedman’s Jewelry Store at the Fayette Pavilion, police said. After the sales clerk handed him one of several rings he asked to see, the suspect ran from the store and left the area in a silver passenger car, police said. During the entire transaction the suspect was talking on his cell phone, police said. A sketch of the suspect has been compiled. He is described as a black male, medium complexion, 6’1” tall slim and possibly in his late 20s, police said. The suspect also has a wide forehead and was clean shaven with very short hair, police said. He also had the word “HEAD” tattooed on both knuckles and another tattoo on the right side of his neck, police said. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Det. James Miller at 770-719-4224. login to post comments |
