Fayetteville police are hunting for Mac Arthur Prayor, 36, as a suspect in multiple felonies in connection with the Oct. 23 abduction of a former girlfriend. The Fayetteville woman was kidnapped shortly after 1 a.m. at knifepoint from her residence on Meadowbrook Court by Prayor, her ex-boyfriend, police said. “Prayor arrived at the victim’s residence and convinced the victim that he had the victim’s child with him, which he did not,” according to Fayetteville police Lieutenant Beverly Trainor. “The suspect pushed his way into the victim’s home and demanded money from the victim. The victim refused to provide the suspect with any money until he held a knife to her and demanded that she give him money. The suspect then tied a piece of cloth around the victim’s mouth and forced her at knifepoint into her car,” the police report said. “The suspect drove the victim to a residence in the county where he purchased some crack cocaine. The victim was able to escape from the suspect when he pulled into a church parking lot. The victim flagged down a passerby who brought her back into the city of Fayetteville. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident,” Trainor said in the news release. The suspect, Mac Arthur Prayor, is a 36-year-old black male with short hair and a mustache. The Fayetteville Police Department currently has warrants pending on Prayor regarding this case consisting of kidnapping, aggravated assault, theft by taking, and armed robbery. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mac Arthur Prayor is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441. login to post comments |
