Tyrone Planning commissioners Oct. 26 approved a variance request to reduce building setbacks in Swanson Valley subdivision from 65 feet to 50 feet on lots 24, 25, 26 and 27. The board voted 3-0 in favor of the request contingent upon the inclusion of a four-foot vegetative berm or a six-foot visual barrier and the applicant dedicating sufficient easement to connect the town’s path system.

The board also approved a request by Guy White to subdivide a 41-acre parcel to be used as a homesite for a relative. The request to split off a 3.01-acre portion was approved 3-0.

On another issue, the applicant withdrew a request to amend the Land Use map and rezone a 1.7-acre property adjacent to Tyrone Self Storage. The request had asked that the Land Use map be amended from Conservation to Heavy Industrial and the zoning be changed from AR Agricultural Residential to M-2 Heavy Manufacturing.

Also at the meeting, consideration of a conceptual site plan for a speculative building on lot #13 at Shamrock Industrial Park was tabled.

Is there anyway you guys can take time off from asking for help for legless pedophiliac writers and formulate some better headlines? "Commission approves setback variances." Which commission? Peachtree City? Fairburn? Fayetteville? Tyrone? Brooks? All are covered by this paper and all are or have been looking at variances on property boundries. It's entirely vague to say "Council."
