Starr's Mill in final four of state softball tournament

The Starr’s Mill’s Lady Panthers have made the final four of the Class AAAA softball tournament and Whitewater’s Lady Wildcats are still alive.

Starr’s Mill defeated Loganville 6-2 in the first game of the Elite Eight yesterday and got their rematch with Whitewater after the Lady Wildcats dispatched Cherokee 2-0. The Lady Panthers beat Whitewater 1-0, putting themselves in a game with another region rival, Northgate, today at 11 a.m. Whitewater will take on the winner of Sequoyah and Eastside at 1 p.m. today.

In Class AAA action, Sandy Creek fell to Shaw 3-1 in the opener. They will face Spalding at 11 a.m. this morning and must win to stay alive in the tournament.

Where are all the Wildcat fans since you were knocked out of the winners bracket by SMHS in Columbus? oops.

SMHS Vollyball beat you in your region last weekend too. oops.

Maybe you guys should chill with the "ONLY cat in town crap" until you actually win something. 'Priceless'.

I am actually compiling a list of SOME of the accomplishments in the county that you guys need to 'live up to'.

Even at McIntosh we are smart enough to know you guys hadn't won a thing yet...just be patient... everyone in the county has a brag sheet but we don't talk smack to each other.

Just stirring the pot-

Typical article for some county sports teams...

yeah I know most folks will think I'm being over sensitive. Why is it that there are two paragraphs about Starrs Mill and Stepford Community High...err I mean Whitewater High and only 2 sentences about Sandy Creek?
Plus, its Whitewater's Lady Wildcats are still alive, while Sandy Creek (notice there is no mention of Lady Patriots)must win to stay alive in the tournament. News Flash...Whitewater MUST WIN also.

It could be worse .... do you see McIntosh in there? Think how we feel. True!

Just relax - it's just a game dude! (And you have to admit - it will drive the insane WHS die hard fans crazy who think they are the "Only Cat in Town"!)

We still love the Patriots here!

I'm pulling for my Lady Wildcats, but wish all our county teams do good as well! This county has a lot of talent when it comes to softball.
