Starr's Mill in final four of state softball tournamentFri, 10/27/2006 - 7:58am

The Starr’s Mill’s Lady Panthers have made the final four of the Class AAAA softball tournament and Whitewater’s Lady Wildcats are still alive. Starr’s Mill defeated Loganville 6-2 in the first game of the Elite Eight yesterday and got their rematch with Whitewater after the Lady Wildcats dispatched Cherokee 2-0. The Lady Panthers beat Whitewater 1-0, putting themselves in a game with another region rival, Northgate, today at 11 a.m. Whitewater will take on the winner of Sequoyah and Eastside at 1 p.m. today. In Class AAA action, Sandy Creek fell to Shaw 3-1 in the opener. They will face Spalding at 11 a.m. this morning and must win to stay alive in the tournament. login to post comments |
