Starr's Mill beat WHS girls softball in the playoffs today 1-0 in Columbus. Also, the cheerleader outscored the WHS cheerleaders last Saturday but SM didn't compete - they hosted .... why did you lie man? that's just wrong dude!

Also, vollyball you guys were third behind SMHS and Northgate - so what are you talking about with all this stuff and why are you such a hater man?

We never win jack at the tosh but at least we get along with the other schools. You're scary man!

Is this the same Whitewater that has the RED DAWN issues, the gang fight with Sandy Creek last year, the Sniper dude this year, the out of district player and the unpublished SAT scores? Relax man - it's a one point win of a single high school game against a not very good opponent.

Amos McCreary must be quite embarrassed by you! Wow! Oh - by the way - Hi Amos! Hi guys!

of all that is holy and sacred in this world...........STOP!!!!! This is so pathetic..."Whitewater is better than Starr's Mill", "McIntosh is Better than Sandy Creek", etc. Don't all of you realize how lucky all of us are the our children attend Fayette County schools? Fayette has a stellar reputation in Georgia and even out of state for the sports programs, academics, etc.

To all of the parents who keep these rivalries going between the Fayette schools......you should be ashamed of yourselves. What kind of values, morals and tolerance are you teaching your children? If you ever find yourself questioning why this world is going to hell in a handbasket...look in the mirror!

I have lived all over this country and I have never seen a bigger group of whiney crybaby boo-hooing parents as I have in Fayette County. The kids aren't the problems....the parents are!

My school can beat your school. Also, my dad can beat up your dad. There - I feel superior.

Have a nice day inferior one.

begin oldschoolfootball mode

You SAY that Oak Grove can beat PTC Elementary, but if you knew the WHOLE story, you'd change your tune!

1. Oak Grove illegally tapes their school pep rallies.

2. Three Oak Grove players have fathers that work in Clayton County.

3. The silver numerals on Oak Grove players jerseys are NOT an approved color under GHSA code.

4. The referee in the last Oak Grove/PTC Elementary game once employed a friend of the Chic-Fil-A employee who served nuggets to the team's mascot's mother in 2003. If that's not a clear conflict of interest, I don't know what is!

I agree with most of what you say, BUT, they were not nuggets - they were STRIPS. Many don't know that in 2003 nuggets were legal whereas strips have NEVER been legal (less than six are a misdemenor). More than six are actually 'possesion with intent do distribute' and would result in a call from the planning commision for failure to register a business.

Also, the Oak Grove kids have an "ask David". Which means - they can go where they want. They also filed a 'Na nany boo-boo'.

I also heard that some PTC kids left popscicle sticks on the entrance way of Oak Grove. This is just wrong. Ants will surely follow.

Also, the numbers are not silver - they are shiney gray - which are legal under code section 69-O-MEye.

I hope that clears things up in this highly important subject matter.

It took me ten minutes to learn all of this.

Sadly, I have to agree with you 100%. I have never seen a large group of people have it so well and yet drown in their own tears of sorrow and some ridiculous sens of self-entitlement gone awry. THE SKY IS FALLING! EVERYONE PANIC! WAAAAHHHH!

People(the noisy ones) in Fayette County don't appreciate much of anything. They think it's a birthright that was suddenly bestowed upon them.

After reading Whitewater Fan's ridiculous claim to Starr's Mill being whiney, all I can say is that winning by 1 point is not exactly a landslide victory. More important is that the students at Starr's Mill, especially some of the band members, were complimenting how nice the kids of Whitewater were. That shows maturity, team effort, and respect for the visiting team. Your comments only bring shame to the team you say you are a fan of, and your name calling shows how big a person you are. Are you any relation to Tom Thumb? Cheers for the kids who truly know its only a game!

I WANT TO KNOW DETAILS OF THESE OUT OF COUNTY FOOTBALL PLAYERS!!!! I moved here to get my child out of a bad place. I bought a house here n paid taxes on 2 houses and house notes for 3 years till my old one sold! It hurt us a lot money wise, but... Never did I complain...it was my choice...so how the HE$$$LLL does someone else has the balls to let an out of county student come here cause he plays football real good? Who do you think you are with my hard worked for tax dollars? I WANT ANSWERS...YOU NEED TO COUGH THEM UP...IT WILL BE A LOT LESS PAINFULL THAN WHAT I HAVE IN MIND!!!!

Submitted by wocdam on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 9:34pm.

Would you people please calm down about your out-of-district players and your taxes? The kid wanted to finish out his last years of high school with the friends he has grown up with. If it was your child, you would do the same thing. Every child I've ever heard of doing this pays tuition. Relax ... take a deep breath ... calm ...

Submitted by ardenlee upgrade on Tue, 10/24/2006 - 8:22am.

Lets turn this around and say the kid in his last year of Middle School would like to finish it out with the friends he has grown up with and gone to school with since K. He has not moved and is in county. The BOE tell him he has to go to a new middle school for his last year with no one from his community. Can he stay and finish that all important last year at his Middle School. BOE's answer - NO - TOUGH - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Submitted by head_ragg on Tue, 10/24/2006 - 10:11am.

If we were to follow their logic...let me see...Family of football player ..DECIDES... to move ..OUT... of county, Fayette County Bboard of Education accomodates the wishes of now Clayton county family by letting him stay in school here. Yep, I'm with them, I can see no reason to accomodate the needs and wishes of the taxpaying residents over the wishes of people who choose to move elsewhere.

every child I've ever heard of doing this pays tution...? Sounds like you are ahead of the rest of this on this? Are you a coach? I'm not, I just pay for all this!

Excuse me, but in reading your blogs, it seems to me that you are replying to the stories about out of county players. That story is under Michael Boylan's blog, not this one. You're placing your comments in the wrong section. Go under "Cool It Football Fans."

players to help you win...and you are talking about ethics..for God's sake...this is the right place....! You are talking about who showed dignity...whatever....how can you pull kids from Clayton county? and implications of good sportsmanship! Give me a brake!

Submitted by mine_is_gone on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 8:41pm.

any are right...same subject...you are talking about Whitewater and Starr's Mill....I am talking about these and all the schools here...I don't want to see my tax dollars pay for out of county kids...so you can win a game! You don't have that right!

I am speaking about courtesy and respect for visiting teams. You can go ahead and talk your head about anything you want. Nobody in this column is listening. Now in the other blog, you might get someone's attention - since they are speaking about the same thing you are. Good night.

when my kid was little, I only let them play on Church teams, and I was real selective...why.? cause if you didn't, they got left in the dust, cause everyone was pushing their kid. I found a wonderful team and my child learned alot, bout life, n people, n to be good. I know my kid will always reach down n help someone below him cause he wants to, and cause he knows in his heart it is right. You..are teaching these kids winning is the only thing, and you are putting taxpayers kids in behind your egos!

Submitted by mine_is_gone on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 8:50pm.

How bout some from the FCBOE? Do they think all we have here is little fa???s How can you import players...that is ...NOT... courtesy and respect to the ...T.A.X.P.A.Y.E.R.S....NOR...to any kids that are 'homegrown' on these teams...and you want to talke ...respect? I want to puke!

Submitted by mine_is_gone on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 8:54pm.

your kids are sooooooo....bad...we got to go get some from Clayton county....so that my [coaches team} wins ...so they will give me a raise....it needs to be said...now you are taking about good sportsmanship...? This is like bragging on a whore with rotten teeth at a dental convention! It just aint gonna happen!

Submitted by mine_is_gone on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 8:34pm.

I want to know details! If this is the case, you are making a mockery out of the poor single Mothers that move here n pay money they don't have to give their kids something better! If you are ...importing...if that is what you want to call it...I have a better name..!...kids to pay football for your poor egos, or short 3rd leg, to make yourselves feel Macho...I want to know about it....cause you are doing it at ...MY EXPENSE!

Submitted by mine_is_gone on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 8:37pm.

I hate to tell you...your 3rd leg won't grow, but my, and a lot of other taxpayes temper will grow bigger than your wildest desires!

I suppose the fact that SMHS hosted the cheer competition and did not enter to compete really doesn't matter in your mind- huh?

They performed and were scored for practice but did not compete.

In two weeks after region maybe you can be 'giddy' again.

As much as we have earned the right to enjoy this victory, this type of posting is not necessary. No need to attack a very good coach such as Coach Earwood or the SM folks, they have set the bar in the county for football and we are not there yet, this is only a baby step. Please enjoy our victory with class!

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 5:31pm.

Well said Hammer. You should be proud of you and your team. It's good to see some modesty.

I have noticed that I have not heard anything at all from the SMHS crowd. I think that's pretty calssy too. Looks like they are allowing you guys to have you 'moment'.

I agree with you - Earwood is a class act. We are having our own problems this year - Coach Walker is trying to fill some big shoes - dad was a legend here.

By the way - thanks for the comments about OldSchool - I took them to heart.

Winning gracefully seems to be a lost art on this site.

Unless you were on the field you are just a fan, what do you have to gloat about?

As stated before it's just a high school football game. Get a life.
