Is this true that Glendaloughmanor is going out of business? They have such a nice facility - that surprises me! They seem like they have lots of weddings there.

I don't know, but if it is, I'm not surprised. The prices there are ridiculously high, especially compared to similar venues in the surrounding area.

I never got to the issue of Glendalough Manor's prices. They wouldn't let me. I attempted to book an event there and they treated me like I was the hired help. They wouldn't make appointments to see the facility on the weekend (irrespective of whether they had an event booked on the weekend). Then, when they found out (after the snooty phone attendant asked, "Where will your party be coming from?") that the group (some mixed-media artists with wealthy patrons) is based in Fulton County, no one would return my phone calls to schedule a tour during the week. So much for trying to bring business to my home county.

The event? My group ended up having our gathering (an annual event) at a swanky facility in Buckhead and the group loved it so much that they have asked to return to that facility. So, if it's true that Glendalough is closing, it sounds like the natural result of their executed business plan.
