Question for Mr. Jim Stinson: are YOU for TDK now?

I know nothing about you or ancient PTC political history, having only recently arrived a couple of years ago in this wonderful city (where we plan to stay). I was shocked (like everyone else) when I read the TDK planning involved grossly flawed traffic engineering projections that are in error about 6x (7000 vpd versus 44,000 vpd!!). This is simply stunning. Even if that 44k traffic count is inflated, and turns out to be "only" half that number, we are talking about a monumental catastrophe for this small town...and not just for Highway 74 commuters.

I've read the former mayor's current opinion on TDK. Whether he was previously in favor of the road is not really relevant now. You, on the other hand, seem to be a person of influence (yes?)in this town. Now that we know what will come with this highway, are you still for it? You mentioned welcoming debate on the subject. Please tell me why +40,000 vpd from Coweta cutting through PTC is a good thing. Thank you.

Who cares anymore? When will this issue go away? I'm tired of reading about it. In the big scheme of things it's not a big deal. I guess some people just can't handle other cars on the road.

Whining is all the TDK people can do at this point. It is a done deal - not even a bad one. Get over it or move. It will be 5 years of better traffic before we see the first signs of the new traffic caused by the "horribly dense" new projects in Coweta created by the "evil developers" and their politicians - you know, the ones they have in their pocket.

Does anyone find it odd that after all these years of the same old accusations, no one has ever been seriously accused (much less caught) of taking bribes to support development and growth? Why is that? Are they all real smart - every one of them? Or maybe because it doesn't happen except in the fertile minds of the idle whiners.

If these people care about traffic problems then they'd move to where they work. I've always said it's a tradeoff you have to make. You either live where you work or you have to deal with traffic to live in a nice place. I work in Atlanta myself, but I only drive in twice a week at the most and usually during off-peak hours. There ARE other options besides sitting in traffic all day.

So the bad traffic won't start for several years huh! Want to bet? Even if it didn't, are you so selfish that you don't care about people them? How are we to catch developer crooks (like the tennis center) if no one in power is interested in catching them? There hasn't even been an investigation by qualified forensic experts. People who don't plan developments for a living haven't got a chance against those who do. We must depend upon the law, assuming they aren't friends.
