Tennis Center, DAPC, Election....

Does anyone have a copy of the following, for posting here so EVERYONE can see them?

1. The GBI report regarding the Development Authority/Tennis Center issue?

2. The independent counsel report regarding the Tennis Center/Development Authority issue.

3. The engineering surveys regarding the Police Department parcel that states the true condition of the "dumping areas"?

If you don't have them, please don't talk about them. If you do have them, please get them online so everyone can see them. ALL OF IT - not just specific quotes, etc.

In the meantime, quit your innuendo and your half-truths (both sides).

Please also remember that these issues, if truly corrupt and bad, would have come to light REGARDLESS of who the mayor was! I still assert that the current mayor does not have the best interests of the citizens of Peachtree City at heart with his polarizing, media-hogging m.o.

Remember the mayor preferred to have NO money to improve roads instead of the amount we received (he opposed the SPLOST). He prefers to read PORTIONS of reports and surmise the whole for those who don't take the time to read them (see my requests above).

Just my two cents - but I would like PTC to return to some semblance of civility. I think Harold Logsdon will help with that, which is why I support his candidacy for mayor.

I agree with the comment by PTC Guy--- simply repeating the mantra "return to civility" is a hollow, meaningless gesture. With no discussion of public policy, this type of communication offers nothing to the debate other than an empty declaration of support for one candidate. This has been the hallmark of the Logsdon campaign. Even as we speak, Mr. Logsdon has personally refused to debate, an obvious indicater of this strategy. As mayor, would Mr. Logsdon investigate and research? Would he listen? Would his meetings and city documents be open to the public?

Most disturbing is that it is now almost Thanksgiving and finally the Logsdon supporters have discovered that maybe they should do a minimum amount of research before expressing an opinion. One has to ask--- should you people have done a minimum of research before you made a decision on city politics? Or was that decision made for you based on self interest ?

Would anyone dispute that Steve Brown is abrasive ? No. Has he brought the light of day to virtually all affairs of the City? Undeniable.

"Idon'tknow", a clear Logsdon operative, has earned his/her chosen on-line moniker. The DAPC Independent Counsel report was available on at least two web sites a couple of years ago. and is probably still available through the Citizen. The GBI report was distributed and available. "idon'tknow" and the Logsdon campaign would probably be far more comfortable in not starting to do research at this late stage and simply to take solace in the old saying "Ignorance is bliss."

"a clear Logsdon operative". I guess you have trouble remembering things.

My original support was for Dar Thompson. As he didn't win, I now place my support behind Harold Logsdon. I KNOW the answers to my questions. I'm not just falling off the turnip truck, so the negative adjectives (naive, hollow, meaningless, pointless) aren't painful and show a desperation consistent with the current mayor's campaign tactics.

Public policy - let's see....repairing damaged relations with Fayette County to have discussions regarding tax equity that don't involve front page attacks on other politicians. Reviewing all City budget items and trying to find ways to increase revenues. Continuing the projects presented and implemented BY STAFF (not just through the mayor's "vision"). Remember that there are FIVE people who make the public policy decisions for this City, and it appears that the majority of voters on election day didn't want Steve Brown to continue in that group.

If the best argument you have against someone is you don't know them, maybe YOU should start performing your research.

So again I ask, does anyone have the locations of these GBI and Independent Counsel reports? Perhaps RE-POSTING them will help those who haven't already seen them.

All you have to do is send an email to City Hall and ask them to email it to you. They have a scanner so it should be no problem.

The City Manager's email address is: citymgr@peachtree-city.org
The City Clerk's email address is: jmiller@peachtree-city.org

If they give you a hard time about it, I'm sure Steve Brown would be happy to get the information for you....unless he has something to hide.

So, let me get this straight. Civil shananagans trump bringing the truth to the light of day?

You did say return.

When a house needs fixing the repairs require tearing out some of the old structure. And it ain't a pretty sight.

I concede Brown is not the model of decorum. But he has gotten some things done and brought some skeltons to the light of day.

I don't have a clue what kind of Mayor Logsdon will be.

And by the way. You are doing here with Brown what you just told others not to do.

You cannot have it both ways.

Really, the dealings would have somehow come to light under any Mayor? Naive at best.

Please proofread your comments prior to submitting.

I have seen the proof of the mayor's comments regarding the SPLOST (I watched the Comcast "infomercial" Mr./Mayor Brown made), and I have heard both sides of the "waste dump" issue. I do not believe I am stating anything that is unsubstantiated, as several others on this forum have appeared to do.

Do you have a copy of any of the reports requested above? I do not, which is why I cannot post any of them. If you do or if you know someone who does, please provide.

You're right about not knowing what kind of mayor Logsdon would be, but I can quite simply state that ANYBODY is better than the mayor we have now.

How do you explain 80% of those who voted last week casting their ballots for someone OTHER than Brown? Do you, PTC Guy, support Brown, or do you just like to cause trouble?

I will vote for Brown unless someone can show me Logsdon is not more of the same we had prior to Brown, which created the atmosphere that allowed such as the Tennis Court Center to happen at all.

So, no. Not anybody is better than Brown. Nor have I ever said Brown was my ideal candidate.

I have learned over the years if you cannot get a feel of the candidate, or a person for that matter, as a human being, then often, but not always, something is being hidden.

Hmmmm. You open with I cannot properly communicate and close with I am a trouble maker. Thus this is no longer a constructive conversation.

I will take my leave of it.
