Is It Help you are Offering or just more Trouble?

We don't need more Southern Activist at FRMS. You aren't bringing anything to the table that is constructive or conducive to my child's learning. In fact, you will be bringing more disruption. Last week the school learned "how to blow the lid off", this week we need guidance and instruction on "how to put the lid back on." Opinions aside from the confederate flag issue - my child is trying to learn in an already upset environment. I pay just as many tax dollars as the next person in Fayette County and though I agree their may be a cause for "Educate Not Discrimminate"...Let's be about repair and reconstruction rather than personal agendas and hot tempers. These are 11,12 and 13 year olds who are doing their best to learn what's presented to them. I pray more will be done to address this problem at FRMS and it not be swept under the rug. Being labeled is hurting the school and the kids there. Be active parents in providing your opinion to the FCBOE regarding this issue and proposed new school boundaries. Get involved. Do not allow gerrymandering that has been so prevalent in the past to continue - but DO NOT allow outsiders with their personal agendas to disrupt your and my child's right to an education free from these influences.

While I agree that outsiders MAY do nothing more than add to the tension I would ask that you all keep in mind that the racist blacks bring in Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the like to promote their agenda on a regular basis. Whites need to stand up for the beliefs they have also. This may seem an attitude to seperate not bring together a people but it is not. Slavery was wrong and so is this reverse form of discrimination. I do not wish to see any white person standing on a street corner making a fool of themselves in protest. I do however want to see the kids who are only showing the pride they have in their heritage given the freedom of expression they are supposed to have in this country. If you want to see a black racist group take a good look at the naacp. If it were the National Association For The Advancement of White People we'd sure be called racist.

Parents/Homeowners be aware the FCBOE website fcboe.org is taking your opinions online for the new school boundary lines until October 10th - tomorrow. Let your voice be heard.
