It is time to respond to the false and unwarranted accusations being printed in The Citizen about 8th District U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.

Our experience with Lynn over a period of several years, both in the Georgia legislature and U.S. Congress, has shown him to be an honorable, honest, “real” conservative.

Lynn has kept his campaign promises by taking unpopular positions with some of his congressional colleagues by questioning how Katrina relief funds were to be spent as well as being for strong illegal immigration control.

If voters will take the time to analyze his positions on these and other issues, they will find him to be what he says he is, a “solid” conservative with good family values. We are proud to call Lynn Westmoreland a friend and excellent U.S. representative.

When he made a fool of himself and his constituents on Colbert, which you can watch here:

and when he "voted for torture." Great family values you have there.
