As a Nationally recognized Journalist and Public Relations practitioner, I am absolutely appalled by the events surrounding Steve Ritter's convictions.

First, I would like to thank Cindy Morley who wrote for the Peachtree City paper, for breaking every rule that EVERY ethical journalist in today's society should abide by. It's a little thing called conflict of interest. Cindy Morley not only personally knows Steve, but she has worked along side of him and personally knows Steve and his family.

Second, I would thank to thank Alan Davis for being the only other open-to-other options resident that realizes this issue has been completely one-sided. This can be expected in a sheltered, biased community such as Peachtree City though. Peachtree City knows nothing about a sense of community. I would like to invite all residents to please turn on the news and be able to differentiate real news from a bunch of garbage in a town that has nothing better to do then pick innocent people out. Chances are, most cannot do this.

If any real research was done, one can find that Steve Ritter has not "tried" to work with Jim Mora for years now, he HAS worked with him for numerous years. Steve Ritter has done numerous Falcons events, Braves charity golf tournaments and also various local charity events that have benefited the schools that most of your children attend.

It doesn't take a reporter to dig up information on the golf tournament showing that Steve Ritter had numerous letters from celebrities thanking him for the wonderful work he has done in the past. It takes someone who is willing to hear the truth, the full truth.

But, as I said, most of you are too worried about having a "convicted felon" living amongst you.

And for all of you who have also read other articles that quote Jim Murray, I would like to ask you, can you really believe a quote from this man? He claims Steve Ritter has stolen from sick children, claims that he used children for his personal benefit. Well, what do you think Chief Murray does when he harasses innocent children (your children, mind you) around town. How many arrests of children for petty things have occurred? How many times have PTC Police been accused of harassing or in some cases following teenagers around town in order to find something they have done “wrong”. If think this is "Protecting and Serving," you are naive. I am certain that he has received his own "personal benefit" from children.

In no way am I even suggesting that Steve Ritter is guilty or innocent, but I do invite all of you to open your eyes to the real world out there. Things happen, business errors are numerous in today's society. Bad people even happen. It's just a matter of what your own morals and values are. Does it make you a good person to read something about a man that has lived in this community for more than 15 years and immediately think he is guilty?

THANK YOU MR. MUNFORD FOR SUCH A FINE JOB OF REPORTING ALL THE FACTS OF THIS CASE BEFORE POSTING A PERSON'S NAME IN THE PAPER. I'VE KNOWN THE MAN FOR 18 YEARS AND I AM QUITE SURE THERE IS MORE TO THIS STORY THAN YOU IMPLY. MR. RITTER IS A FINE MAN WITH OUTSTANDING CREDITIALS. I KNOW THAT GOING BEYOND A POLICE REPORT MIGHT REQUIRE SOME ADDITIONAL WORK ON YOUR PART..OH I FORGOT.. THATS ALL THAT THIS PAPER DOES (GO THROUGH POLICE REPORTS AND POST IT AS NEWS). TO THOSE OF YOU THAT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ IN THE PAPER WAKE UP YOU COULD BE NEXT!

Harry doesn't seem to be very good at fraud if he only scored $15k for a celebrity golf tournament. With something like that he should have raked in much more!

Just goes to show that not every Peachtree citizen is as bright as they think.
