By: John Munford
A masked man robbed a downtown Fayetteville antique store Friday afternoon, police said. The man entered the back door of Brannon Antiques at 165 West Lanier Avenue around 1:50 p.m. and brandished a chrome revolver, police said. He demanded money from two employees and after he got the money he forced them to walk outside the store in one direction while he took off in the other direction on foot, police said. Fayetteville police and sheriff’s deputies conducted an extensive search of the area including a trek into the thick woods nearby but were unable to locate the gunman, police said. The gunman was described as a white male wearing some type of mask and possibly blue jeans, police said. Anyone who might have seen anything in the area is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441. login to post comments |
