A convenience store in north Fayette was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Coleman’s, located on Ga. Highway 92 North, was targeted by a black male driving a red Chevy Blazer, said Lt. Col. Bruce Jordan of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The gunman had a Glock semi-automatic handgun, Jordan said.

Officers conducted heavy patrols Thursday in an effort to stifle any additional incidents from the same suspect, Jordan said.
