TDK extension beginning of Outer Loop

TDK and this new connector from Fayette to Clayton are just the beginning of the new outer loop project. I have worked in the construction industry for many years now and have heard many proposals for the loop. Originally it was to stretch from Riverside Drive on the Northside around to Campcreek Pkwy then connect bac to I-85 then through Union City then to Antioch Road.
The city council then decided to put something in their way....like a LAKE. Seemed to have worked. They then moved further south with the plans. Go down Hwy16 then back across a back road(name I can't recall now) and back to Hwy92. Again Spauldings city council already had something in the way......another LAKE.
Now suddenly we have Peachtree Pkwy, this new Fayette/Clayton connector and now TDK extension in the works. Sounds to me like a perfect place to connect another outer loop. Map it out sometime see how well it would work. You be the Judge

bobby...put down the pipe or the houka. The Outer Loop was proposed to go around Atlanta outside I-285. I possible route was between I-20 to I-75 down GA 16 or even further south thru Merryweather. They kinda are actually building it (in secret) up by I-85 & 316.
PTC Parkway & TDK, I guess could be a feeder road but I don't think so.

Nimrod, do you think you live INSIDE Atlanta? Where do you think we are? I-20 to 1-75? I-20 goes THROUGH Atlanta and already connects to I-75. TDK Blvd, where does it go right now? It connects to hwy 74 right? Where does hwy 74 go to? GA-85 right. Quick cut through on 85 connector and you are at hwy 16.
PTC Pkwy connects hwy 54 and ga hwy 85 right? It also goes on to hwy 74. Now you have 74,54,85,and 16 all routed out for you in this nice geography lesson on how to make the outer loop come through Fayette.

As for the project on I-85 and 316 (the secret one). They have been working for years on that. It's the NORTHERN LOOP. Well it's not actually a loop more of a half loop. Going to connect 316 around to Riverside Dr..................WAIT WAIT look at that. Now we have 316 connected to Riverside Dr. (Gasp) Now all they have to do is find some way to connect from Riverside Dr. to hwy 74. Wait they have that figured out as well. You know that little strech of road called GA HWY 92. The one that runs from oh say Spaulding County ALL the way to Woodstock. It passes through Fairburn in one point which a few little miles away is HWY 74.
Is it starting to come together for you now? If not, get a map and draw what I just said on it and look at the beginning of the OUTER LOOP

This man is talking about an outer loop around PTC when it reaches one million people. The skyscraper construction will start soon here. Man those developers only sleep in cars between land parsels!

I have been in the construction industry for more than ten years and have seen literally twenty plus designs for the outer loop. The one I described in my last blog makes the most sense. Look at what roads are being built or repaired or widened. Scary isn't it.
