In a recent meeting with department personnel the Chief of the Department stated, and I quote, "If you don't like the way the department is run, there is the door!" An interesting comment from someone who is supposed to be a leader, a motivator, a person who by the nature of thier job should be fostering a positive atmosphere to boost morale.

As a citizen, who may need public safety one day, you may want to question the Fire Chief why less experienced individuals, some with criminal records and others that have refused to participate in emergency scene operations are being hired in lieu of highly trained and motivated applicants.
