IMNSHO: PTC soldier KIA in Afghanistan... Sgt. 1st Class Shawn McCloskey

Sgt.1st Class Shawn P. McCloskey, 33, died on Sept. 16, after his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device Sept. 15, while conducting a mounted patrol in the Afghan city of Ghur Ghuri, in support of combat operations while serving with, Company B, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

IMNSHO: Why doesn't Fayette County stagger high school graduations more than they do?

I asked this question last year, with no good answer given. I've asked the school board members and Dr. DeCotis, with no response. The staff at the high schools don't appear to know why, either. And yet, I have not personally met anyone who would have a problem with changing the schedule.

IMNSHO: Servers have to make a living, too

From Free Speech this week, we have this quote:
when you fail to tip or leave 10 percent, you are costing the person money to wait on you. Twenty percent should be the appropriate amount to leave. Too bad everyone is not as thoughtful as you. Servers are here to make a living like everyone else.

IMNSHO: Robbery at Zaxby's

I'm surprised nothing has been posted about last night's robbery at the Zaxby's in north Fayetteville. I don't know much more than it occurred around 11pm and the suspects got away.

IMNSHO: Bicycle Club in PTC

Saturday morning about 9am, I was driving northbound on Peachtree Parkway, just passing the Peachtree Crossings shopping center (where the bike store is). About 30 bicyclists were crossing the parkway at a marked crossing, but NONE of them were stopping for cars. They ALL expected the cars to stop for them. I refused to, and almost hit one of them as he started into the crosswalk as I also entered the crosswalk (more correctly, HE would've hit ME).
