Great old hymns of the past to be featured at Cokes Chapel's 'Olde Fashioned Hynnfest'

Those who enjoy singing old hymns from the past—some of which are no longer included in present-day hymnals—are invited to attend Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church's “Olde Fashioned Hymnfest” featuring many of those great old hymns, Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

'Life of Christ' Bible study class offered

Eugene Howard, a 1999 graduate of Beulah Heights Bible College, will teach a free Bible study class on “The Life of Christ,” each Thursday from noon until 1 p.m. at the Carolyn Driver Ministries Teaching and Training Center in Tyrone. Classes will begin on Thursday, Sept. 23. Howard has experience teaching people of all ages.

Eric Baker to appear at Rolling Hills Sunday

Rolling Hills Baptist Church will present Eric Baker in concert Sunday, Sept. 26 at both the morning and evening services.

Jay Bakkar to speak at Abundant Life

Jay Bakker, son of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, will be the guest speaker Sunday, Sept. 26, at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Tyrone. Bakker will share his testimony with the congregation at the morning service.

"Creation of Evolution/" seminar offered at Cornerstone Church

Mike Riddle of the Institute for Creation Research in conjunction with Creation Presentations will present a seminar on “Creation or Evolution?” Sunday, Oct. 10 at 9:45 and 10:50 a.m. at Cornerstone Bible Church. Resource materials will be available.

Greentree celebrates 10th

Greentree Church will celebrate its tenth anniversary this Sunday, Sept. 26. Guest speaker will be David Putman. Special guest singers will be “Liberty.”

Rev. Dan Hale installed as Senior Deacon at Christ the King Church in P'tree City

The Rev. Dan Hale of Peachtree City was installed as Senior Deacon at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church during the congregation's third anniversary observance.

Zion Lutheran offers Parents Night Out

Parent volunteers of Zion Lutheran Church in Newnan will offer a Parents' Night Out on Friday, Oct. 8 from 6-11 p.m., giving adults the opportunity to have some time for themselves while their children participate in age-appropriate activities and games. Registration is required one week in advance and there is a fee of $5 per family to cover the cost of snacks. The church is at 53 Country Club Rd. in Newnan. Parents who would like to register their children may call the church office at 770-253-2884.
