Rev. Dan Hale installed as Senior Deacon at Christ the King Church in P'tree City

The Rev. Dan Hale of Peachtree City was installed as Senior Deacon at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church during the congregation's third anniversary observance.

As such, he will train acolytes, counsel and train aspirants to Holy Orders, direct the liturgical activities on Sunday mornings, and will schedule readers, chalicists, assistants, eucharistic ministers and others as needed.

Rev. Hale will perform and demonstrate all the functions of Deacon at Christ the King and also will be trained to serve as Master of Ceremonies for Episcopal services. He is currently a member of the church's Rector's Council.

Born in Charlottesville, Va., Hale grew up in the United Methodist and Episcopal (ECUSA) churches. He has previously served as a chalicist, lay reader, chalicist instructor, vestry member, nominating committee chairperson, sub-deacon, crucifer, prayer counselor, altar/Eucharist instructor, member of a parish council, member of a rector's council, building committee chairman, and Intervention Task Force member.

Hale received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College and did graduate work at North Carolina State University. In 1998, he was ordained in apostolic succession to the diaconate by the Right Rev. John William Holloway, Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Georgia.

An air Force veteran, Hale is the area sales director for Mosler, Inc. He and his wife Stephanie have two daughters.

Christ the King Church meets in the Carmichael-Hemperley building on Hwy. 74 in Peachtree City. The church is in the process of purchasing land on Hwy. 34 in Coweta County.
