Fayetteville Church of God plans Unity Tent Revival August 8-14

The Fayetteville Church of God and its youth ministry will sponsor a Unity Tent Revival at 895 Hwy. 85 South in Fayetteville, beginning Sunday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. and continuing through Saturday, Aug. 14. Several guest speakers are scheduled.

Camp Meeting '99 is Aug. 8-13 at Fayetteville's Word of Life Church

Members of Word of Life Family Church in Fayetteville are gearing up for Camp Meeting `99, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 13 at the church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day. .

Registration closes August 8 for 'Marriage Enrichment Weekend'

Couples at Fayetteville Christian Church have until this Sunday, Aug. 8, to sign up for the church-sponsored “Marriage Enrichment Weekend” planned for November 12 and 13 at the Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center in Norcross. Michael and Susan Keane, who minister in Cartersville, will lead the retreat.

Co-author of 'Left Behind' series will autograph books August 6 & 7 in Morrow, Atlanta stores

Jerry B. Jenkins, coauthor of the bestselling “Left Behind” series of books, will be on hand to autograph copies of his latest release, “Assassins,” Friday, Aug. 6 from noon-2 p.m. at Berean Christian Bookstore on Cleveland Ave. in Atlanta, and on Saturday, Aug. 7 from 1-2 p.m. at Barnes & Noble bookstore on Mt. Zion Rd. in Morrow. “Assassins” is the sixth installment in the series which has sold 8 million copies nationwide.

Tyrone's First Christian to offer Back to School seminar Aug. 21

The First Christian Church of Tyrone will sponsor a “Back to School Seminar for Parents” Saturday morning, Aug. 21 from 9-11 a.m. The seminar will focus on helping parents become better equipped to deal with the challenges of education.

Dee Baxter will speak at Women's Aglow Fellowship International's Aug. meeting

Dee Baxter will be the featured speaker at this month's meeting of Women's Aglow Fellowship International, Peachtree City Chapter, Monday evening, Aug 16, and Tuesday morning, Aug. 17. Both meetings will be held at the Peachtree Christian Fellowship at 1988 Hwy. 54 in the Governor's Walk Shopping Center, 1/4 mile east of the Peachtree City city limits.

Heritage Christian plans land dedication ceremony, picnic

Members of Heritage Christian Church will have a dedication ceremony and church picnic Sunday, Aug. 22, to celebrate the recent purchase of 77 acres on the corner of Redwine and Bernhard roads.
