While it is wise for us to take a look at our schools to make certain we have taken steps to make them a safe place to learn, we must be cautious not to overreact and take steps that would turn our schools into boot camps.

The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services and the City of Fayetteville Fire Department would like to thank the citizens of Fayette County for the generosity expressed during the recent Georgia Firefighter's Burn Foundation Boot Drive. The three-day total exceeded $11,000.

Thanks for help after storm damage

We would like to thank the Public Works Department, the fire and police departments, the rescue and Red Cross for their kindness during the damage to our home by the storm.
