Bethany UMC Christmas party is tonight

Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will have their church Christmas party tonight, Dec. 17, beginning at 6 p.m. Those attending are requested to bring a covered dish or finger-food for supper. Encounter Now schedules service for Dec. 21

Encounter Now, a nondenominational group, will have a worship experience geared toward high school and college students, Sunday, Dec. 21, from 8-10 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church South, Ga. Hwy. 85 and Ga. Hwy. 74, south of Peachtree City. A number of local churches and religious leaders are sponsoring the event. No childcare will be provided. Christ Our Hope’s Christmas Cantata set for Dec. 21

The adult choirs at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will present their Christmas cantata during the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services. That evening, members will gather at the church at 6 p.m. to go caroling in the neighborhood, returning to the church for cider, hot chocolate and cookies. Christ Our Hope is at 2165 Ga. ‘Christmas Junction’ set for Dec. 21 at FFBC

The Adult Choir, Praise Orchestra and members of First Drama Troupe at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will present “Christmas Junction,” Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. The plot involves a group of people with a mixed bag of personalities snowbound at a train station in Michigan, all desperate to get home by Christmas. Community Bible study resumes Jan. 9

Community Bible Study, an interdenominational study program, will resume Friday, Jan. 9 and will continue through April 2004. Classes will meet on Fridays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, 592 Bernhard Rd., south of Fayetteville. This year’s study is on the book of Luke.
