Former Union City policeman admits to hitting ex-girlfriend at her Fayette home

A former Union City police officer admitted in court Thursday morning that he struck his ex-girlfriend several times at her Fayetteville home July 31 of last year.

Fulton schools to expand foreign language programs in Fulton school

Fulton's elementary foreign language program will almost double, with the addition of 15 new fourth grade programs.These schools will expand to include the fifth grade in 2004-2005.Previously, foreign language was taught in 16 Fulton elementary schools.

The Fayette County Recreation Department is seeking more teams for its fall "power" volleyball league (open to any teams) which runs from August through November. Teams may register at the Activities House on Redwine Road. Registration is extended through Aug. 8. Fee is $160 per team with a 10-game schedule and a single-elimination tournament.
