In the Allan Vigil Ford Pro Late Model 50-lap event, Rusty Clanton recorded the fastest qualifying speed, then rolled a four on the dice, placing him in the fourth starting position. This advanced Scotty Ellis to the pole position with Korey Ruble joining him on the front row. When the green flag waved, Ellis jumped out in the lead with Ruble and Clanton close behind. The three competitors raced nose-to-tail and door-to-door in a heated battle for the top spot. On lap 8, the fierce racing action closed in on a lap machine on the back straight-away causing the top competitors to bunch up even closer, which resulted in a spin and causing Clanton to make hard contact with the out side retaining wall in turn four. While Clanton walked away from the incident, his machine received considerable damage. When racing resumed, Ellis continued in the lead until lap 10, when Ruble was finally able to make the pass for the top spot. Ruble would maintain the lead the remaining laps, with Ellis, Frankie Farmer, Les Law and Darrell Bunn finishing in the top five positions respectively. The Aaron's Pro Challenge Series continues to be one of the most competitive series at Senoia Speedway. For the second week, Brian Sharp took the checkered flag in commanding fashion in the caution filled 25-lap feature. Kyle Kennedy started the race from the pole with Sharp joining him on the front row. When the green flag waved, Sharp blasted into the lead and maintained the top spot for the remainder of the event. What continues to make this division a fan favorite is that the drivers and team members maintain these scale-down Winston Cup look-a-like machines in excellent condition. In addition, there's a content battle for position throughout the impressive field of machines. Most recently, several drivers have been pressuring Terry Mathis, who up until last week's event, had recorded an impressive series of wins. However, if the fans are observing the contest for the lead, or for fifth or sixth place position, these drivers are competitive, and this series has evolved into a first-class division, thanks to the drivers and team members who pour so much energy into each and every lap. In the Modified Street Stock 20-lap feature, Larry Pierce started the race from the pole with Steve Woodward joining him on the front row. When the green flag waved, Pierce jumped out to an early lead with Woodward and Steven Barker close behind. Pierce would remain the race leader until lap 9, when Woodward made the pass for the lead. Woodward would continue to show the way and take the checkered flag, followed by Pierce, Barker, Jamie Nicholson and Larry Pierce, Jr. Tony Yawn, Jr., started in the fourth place position in the Legends Pro/Master event, and emerged the winner. Yawn, Jr., passed Cindy Anderson for the lead on lap 5 and maintained the top spot for the remaining laps of the event. Yawn, Jr., and Anderson were followed by Virgi Brown and Ted Studley respectively. In the Legends Semi Pro event, Adam Quattlebaum started the race from the pole with Aaron Brooks joining him on the front row. When the green flag waved, Brooks blasted into the lead and maintained the top spot until lap 8 when Quattlebaum made the pass for the lead. Quattlebaum would continue to lead the event until lap 18 when a spin occurred in turn 2 involving Brooks. When the green flag waved on the restart, Bubba Harry took over the top Spot along with another checkered flag to add to his impressive collection thus far this season. In the OPTECH Bandolero 15 lap event, Casey Roderich lead the event flag-to-flag to take the win. Roderich was followed closely by: Bre Sharp, Marci Bristol and John Wm. Lee. Andy Cash led the Sportsman 25-lap feature from flag-to-flag with Rod Williford following close behind. Trey White and Paul Benefield battled for the third place position lap-after-lap, with White finally making the pass on lap 14. In the Modified Mini Stock event, Shon Adams started the race from the pole, joined by Mike Chambers on the front row. When the green flag waved, Chambers jumped out to an early lead and appeared to be on his way to victory lane. However, on lap 6, Adams passed Chambers for the lead and began to pull away. Chambers continued to close the distance on Adams and regained the top spot on lap 16 and went on to take the win.
