Full night of action at Senoia Speedway

In the Allan Vigil Ford Pro Late Model 50-lap feature last Saturday night at Senoia Speedway, Rusty Clanton recorded the fastest qualifying lap, then rolled a two on the dice, placing him in the second starting position on the outside of the front row. That advanced Frankie Farmer into the pole position for the start of the feature.

Coweta company acquires golf courses

Lee Burton, vice president for golf of Patten Seed Company, announces the sale of the majority interest in Canongate Golf Clubs to Sequoia Golf LLC, a Sharpsburg corporation.

Community sports briefs

The Wendell Coffee Golf Center in Tyrone is hosting the 2003 Summer Break Junior Golf Camps. Sessions will be held every week from June 2 through Aug. 14, and all camps run Monday through Thursday.From 8:30 to 11:30 is instruction, followed by lunch, then from 12:30 to 2:30 the juniors will play 9 holes of golf on the Par 3 course. Cost is $160 per week, with a $25 discount on a second camp or additional family member. To sign up, call 770-969-4469 or stop by the Center on Ga. Highway 74 in Tyrone, two miles south of I-85.
