The Wendell Coffee Golf Center in Tyrone is hosting the 2003 Summer Break Junior Golf Camps. Sessions will be held every week from June 2 through Aug. 14, and all camps run Monday through Thursday.From 8:30 to 11:30 is instruction, followed by lunch, then from 12:30 to 2:30 the juniors will play 9 holes of golf on the Par 3 course. The Tyrone Recreation Department is offering Pee-Wee Tennis classes at Shamrock Park each Monday in July. Sessions are from 9-10 a.m. through July 28. Cost is $25. Call 770-487-4694 for more information.

An hour of yoga will be offered each week from July 9-Aug. 27 by the Tyrone Recreation Department. Classes are from 7-8 p.m. in the basement of the Tyrone Police Department. Cost is $80. To register, call 770-487-4694.

Summer baseball clinics are being conducted throughout the summer, sponsored by Hit & Run Batting Cages in Fayetteville. Sessions are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Thursday and cover hitting, pitching and catching. Cost is $89, with a $25 deposit due at signpu. Space is limited to 20 kids per week. The Fayette County Youth Soccer League is conducting registration for boys and girls fall outdoor recreational soccer July 19 and 26 (Saturdays) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the McCurry Park North Soccer Complex. Practice will begin the week of Aug. 25 with games beginning Saturday, Sept. 6, and the season ending around Nov. 8. All new players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. Ages 4-18 may participate, with Aug. 1 serving as the age cutoff date. Registration costs are $65 for ages 4-5 (includes uniform shirt), $80 for ages 6-7, $90 for ages 8-15, and $100 for ages 16-18. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville announces registration for its Late Summer Adult Indoor Soccer Leagues kicking off Aug. 18. The season will consist of 7 regular season games plus a playoff for all teams. All games will be played on weekday evenings, and the registration fee is $65 per player. Fall Baseball Registration for Peachtree City Little League will be held at the Kedron Fieldhouse Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesday, July 29, from 7-9 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Parents need to bring an original birth certificate. Ages 6 and up.

Registration is underway for 16-, 17-, 18- and 19-year-olds for Big League Baseball in the south metro Atlanta counties, including Fayette, Coweta and Henry counties. Fall baseball registration in Fayette County is Aug. 16 and 23 (Saturdays) for ages 5-16 at Redwine Road fields. Signups are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on those dates.

The Optimist Club in Peachtree City is conducting a tennis clinic Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Peachtree City Tennis Center for ages 6-10 and 11-15. Free lunch for all participants. Registration is underway for softball, men's open basketball, and volleyball with the Fayette County Recreation Department. New teams may register through Friday, July 25. Fees are as follows: $350 for open and church softball, $450 for basketball, and $160 for volleyball. Nonresident fees are $10 per nonresident player up to a maximum of $100 per team. The Georgia Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists' seventh annual Charity Golf Classic is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Spivey Golf Club in Jonesboro. Proceeds will benefit People Making Progress, a private nonprofit organization that assists with supported employment and supported living for people with developmental disabilities in metro Atlanta. Numerous prizes for participants. Fees are $100 per player or $300 for a foursome. There is a 10-percent Early Bird Discount for signup and payment before Aug. 1. Each foursome receives a commemorative gift, greens fees, golf cart fees, a continental breakfast, a goody bag, and an awards ceremony. The Peachtree City Girls Softball Association is announcing registration for its fall season. The Brooks Bears will kick off the 2003 football season with a camp that continues today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and tomorrow from 8:30-11 a.m. Anyone is welcome to attend the camp.

The Peachtree City Baseball Association is conducting a fall baseball camp/clinic Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-10, at the baseball/soocer complex in Peachtree City. Each player will receive a certificate of completion and awards will be given for top prospects in hitting, fielding, pitching, base running and overall performance.
