Religion Briefs Covenant Presbyterian plans Community Day Covenant Presbyterian Church will celebrate Community Day Saturday, July 12, from 2-8 p.m. at the church. Planned activities include live music, a moonwalk, fishing, games, swimming, volleyball and a barbecue meal served from 4-6 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults (age 12 and over) and $3 for children ages 6-11. Christian home educators schedule book sale in Griffin Greater Griffin Christian Home Educators will sponsor a book sale Saturday, July 19, at Crestview Baptist Church in Griffin, located on U.S. Hwys. 19 & 41 across from Belk's. Wednesday communion services suspended Wednesday evening communion services at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church have been temporarily suspended for the summer. Services will resume Aug. 13 at 7:10 p.m.
Inman UMC schedules barbecue July 12 Inman United Methodist Church will have a barbecue Saturday, July 12, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church.
