Religion Briefs Covenant Presbyterian plans Community Day Covenant Presbyterian Church will celebrate Community Day Saturday, July 12, from 2-8 p.m. at the church. Planned activities include live music, a moonwalk, fishing, games, swimming, volleyball and a barbecue meal served from 4-6 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults (age 12 and over) and $3 for children ages 6-11. Christian home educators schedule book sale in Griffin Greater Griffin Christian Home Educators will sponsor a book sale Saturday, July 19, at Crestview Baptist Church in Griffin, located on U.S. Hwys. 19 & 41 across from Belk's. Books to be sold should be brought from 10-12 a.m., while the sale itself will be from 1-4 p.m. Call 770-775-4123 for further information.
Wednesday communion services suspended Wednesday evening communion services at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church have been temporarily suspended for the summer. Services will resume Aug. 13 at 7:10 p.m.
Inman UMC schedules barbecue July 12 Inman United Methodist Church will have a barbecue Saturday, July 12, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church.
