Local company releases successful computer book

If you're looking for a unique and useful gift, you may have to look no further than a Peachtree City company. FC&A Publishing's latest book release, "Easy Computing for Seniors: A Step-By-Step Handbook From Start-up to Shut-down" has achieved astounding success, selling over 25,000 copies in its first month of publication.

"We thought it would be a strong seller for us, but we have been overwhelmed by the response to it," says FC&A Creative Services Manager Kris Rose. "We have received an unprecedented number of letters thanking us for the simplicity and usefulness of the information, and many of our customers tell us they like it better than the 'Dummies' books they already own."

If your parents are new to computing, this book could be just what they need. It was written especially for the pre-computer generation, and contains easy-to-understand instructions for beginners, and lots of helpful tips for more advanced computer users. The book gives advice on protecting your privacy on the Internet, instructions on "tuning up" your computer, and lists of the best Web sites for seniors.

FC&A is a direct-mail publishing company that has been in business since 1969. The company is widely recognized as a leading publisher of self-help health books.

One of its best-selling health books, "Eat and Heal," has sold over half a million copies in just two years. The company has expanded its product line in recent years to include consumer books such as "Uncommon Uses for Common Household Products."

"Easy Computing for Seniors" is not currently available in any bookstore, but you can order it by visiting FC&A's Web site at www.fca.com, or by calling 1-800-226-8024.
