Gas prices available online The Georgia Public Service Commission this week published the June prices charged by Georgia natural gas marketers on its Web site, www.psc.state.ga.us. Georgia law provides that the "price for natural gas billed to a natural gas customer shall not exceed the marketer's published price effective at the beginning of the consumer's billing cycle." The published prices do not include the Atlanta Gas Light base charge, which is $10.76 + ($4.10 per DDDC factor), or -$0.01 + ($4.10 per DDDC factor) for senior citizen/low-income citizens. The Regulated Provider customers pay the same base charges from Atlanta Gas Light Company. The base charge is the same regardless of which marketer a customer uses. Customer specific DDDC factors can be obtained by calling the selected marketer. Prices also do not include sales tax, which varies by county. Consumers can also see a chart showing an estimate of average monthly residential gas usage at http://www.psc.state.ga.us/gas/jun03chart.htm. Additional information on consumer complaints concerning natural gas marketers may be found on the Gas Marketer Scoreboard at www.psc.state.ga.us/consumer_corner/scorecard.html.
