HBA meeting for home buyers is today
The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, a professional trade association serving the nine metro counties since 1945, hosts a free monthly class to better educate and guide today's first-time new homebuyer through the entire process of buying or building a new home. The Academy of New Home Buyers is today at 6:30 p.m. at the HBA's Housing Center. "Our goal is to empower new home buyers with knowledge when they decide to build or buy their dream home," said Lori Cowie, Builder Services Director for the HBA. The Academy of New Home Buyers program is unique in that it breaks down the barriers to new home ownership in Atlanta by making the entire process as easy to understand as possible. Potential buyers will gain knowledge from industry leaders explaining the builder selection process, contracts and warranties, and the importance of shopping the market. "People are very interested in buying new homes," said Cowie. "However, they don't know where to find more information and feel overwhelmed by the process. This program allows consumers to feel comfortable and confident in their home buying decision. "We want all new home buyers to have a positive experience and this class equips them with the foundation needed to purchase and care for their home." Potential homebuyers can attend these free monthly classes by calling the HBA at 678-775-1460 to register. Pre-registration is required for all attendees. The HBA encourages all potential new home buyers to attend one of these classes to learn about the building process step by step. The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association is a 4,100-member, not-for-profit trade association affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of Georgia. As the largest local home builders association in the nation, the HBA is dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving homeownership by maintaining the housing industry as a viable economic force in the Atlanta area.
