Jadon Steward found not guilty in Fayette assault trial

Be it known that in June of last year my 17-year-old son, Jadon A. Steward, was falsely accused and arrested for simple battery and aggravated assault (which is a felony) by an ex-girlfriend from Peachtree City. This information was printed in the Fayette Citizen police blotter.

April 21 and 22 his court case was finally heard. He was acquitted, having been found not guilty on both counts. The jury deliberation took less than 30 minutes.

I would like to thank each of the Fayette County jurors who served on the panel concerning my son's case for taking their responsibilities as jurors seriously and seeing that justice was done.
