Former Manson family member to speak at New Hope

Dennis Rice, former San Quentin inmate and follower of Charles Manson, will be the special guest speaker at New Hope Baptist Church's Starr's Mill Hall on the south campus Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m.

Christ Our Hope men plan breakfast April 26

Jerry Blaydes and Earl Gross of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will be the cooks for the day as the men have their monthly Men's Breakfast this Saturday, April 26, at 8:30 a.m. The church is at 2165 Ga. Cancer support group open to the community

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church offers a Cancer Support Group on the third Thursday of the month (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. in the Bride's Room. The purpose of the group is to offer encouragement and support to both long-term cancer survivors as well as those recently diagnosed. Guest speakers share information on various topics such as nutrition, treatment options, and tips on finding the right doctor. Each year group members sponsor a team in the Relay for Life, a walk-a-thon fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The group is open to the community. Holy Trinity hosts daily ecumenical prayers for country

Holy Trinity Catholic Church holds a daily ecumenical 15- minute prayer service for the U.S. leadership and military during this time of tragedy and uncertainty. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to pray wherever they are at this time of the day. The prayer service is at 12:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays.

WELCA at Christ Our Hope schedules Bible study

The women of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have a WELCA Bible study and fellowship Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m. All ladies in the community are invited to participate. Rolling Hills' Ukraine mission trip detailed Sunday

Members of Rolling Hills Baptist church will present the details of their recent mission trip to the Ukraine in a special program this Sunday, April 27, at 6 p.m. Rolling Hills is at 1481 Redwine Rd., Fayetteville.

First Baptist kids to present musical April 27

"Sticky Notes and Bible Quotes," billed as a "neat" spring musical, will be presented by the 1st-6th grade choirs at Fayetteville First Baptist Church this Sunday at 6 p.m. First Baptist is at 205 Stonewall Ave. E., just off the courthouse square in Fayetteville.

Tech chaplain to speak to men's group at PTC 1st Baptist

Ladies exercise classes offered at Tyrone FBC

Bethany collecting items for yard sale in May
