Walk to the cross re-enacted this Friday in PTC

The public is invited to join in the 3rd Annual Cross Walk on Friday, April 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway. Participants may share in bearing the burden of the cross or may just walk. The walk starts at the church and ends at Picnic Park, behind the Peachtree City Library. There, a brief devotional will be held as participants remember the walk Jesus made carrying the cross. Call the church, 770-487-8717 for further information.

Body of Christ International announces April events

The Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A., announces its Easter musical, "Resurrection Celebration," Friday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. Also, a free "Financial Victory Seminar," led by Dr. Creflo Dollar, will be held at the church Sunday, April 20, through Tuesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. nightly. Cancer support group open to the community

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church offers a Cancer Support Group on the third Thursday of the month (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. in the Bride's Room. The purpose of the group is to offer encouragement and support to both long-term cancer survivors as well as those recently diagnosed. Guest speakers share information on various topics such as nutrition, treatment options, and tips on finding the right doctor. Each year group members sponsor a team in the Relay for Life, a walk-a-thon fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The group is open to the community. Bethany collecting items for yard sale in May

Members of Bethany United Methodist Church are collecting items for a church yard sale scheduled for May 30-31. Clothing will not be accepted, but kitchen equipment, appliances, furniture and other household items may be donated. For more information, call the church, 770-964-6992 or 770-964-6999.

Mother's Morning Out registration opens at Providence
