F'ville UMC plans class on Alzheimer's

The community is invited to Fayetteville First United Methodist Church to explore the topic of Alzheimer's Disease on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Room C-260.

Elaine Gallaird, volunteer with the Greater Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and Director of Marketing for Ashley Glen Assisted Living and Alzheimer's Care, will be the guest speaker.

As part of the series on "Caring for Aging Parents," the class will examine the phases of Alzheimer's disease, its symptoms, causes, and preventions and the challenges of caring for the person with Alzheimer's in the home.

Other dementias, both treatable and non-reversible will be discussed. For further information, call the church program office at 770-461-4313, ext. 17.
