Are you or someone you know impressed with vehicles of impressive size or importance? If so, the Touch a Truck event taking place in the parking lot of the Peachtree City Recreation Department off of McIntosh Trail, is something you may want to check out.

Each year, the Peachtree City Recreation Department invites large vehicles and emergency vehicles to the parking lot for kids of all ages to examine and get their pictures taken with.

"How many times do you have the opportunity to climb high into the seat of a huge rig and blow the horn?" asked Susan Taylor, Program Coordinator for the Recreation Department. "Where else do you see a vehicle with tires taller than you are?"

Among the vehicles participating this year will be pumping trucks, a wrecker, the Army National Guard, a medium duty rollback, tractors, dump trucks police and fire vehicles and much, much more. There will also be an exhibit, Georgia Operation lifesaver, which takes place in an 18-wheeler.

"This gets bigger and bigger each year," said Taylor of the event which is now in its third year. The local BMX group will be on hand selling hot dogs and refreshments.

As always, there is no admission for Touch a Truck. The event will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. rain or shine.
