A
number of local basketball teams have qualified for the state basketball
tournaments in their respective classifications. Fayette and Coweta
County are represented by five teams in the AAAAA boys and girls state
tournament, while Sandy Creek's boys are in the AAAA tournament and
Landmark Christian School's girls are in the A tournament. The teams
open up with one game this weekend at locations around the state.
