Teams search for momentum in basketball season By MICHAEL
BOYLAN There are approximately three weeks left in the high school basketball season and coaches are trying to get their teams peaking as they enter their region tournaments. Though every team in the county is playing tough, no team is hotter than the Sandy Creek Lady Patriots. The Lady Patriots won their fifth and sixth game in a row over the weekend. On Friday, they dealt Chapel Hill a 66-33 loss and then followed it up on Saturday by beating a strong East Coweta team 47-36. Sandy Creek's win over East Coweta proves how far the team has come. The Lady Indians were the last team to beat Sandy Creek and that win came over a month ago.
