Basketball teams head into holiday break By MICHAEL BOYLAN
Most of the local basketball players have something bigger than a regional oponent to face before they start Christmas break: exams. Only McIntosh was scheduled to play last night, while the rest of the county high schools took the night off. Several teams will play in holiday tournaments though, which are scheduled to start tomorrow. Starr's Mill's boys and girls will play in the Bear Brawl in Houston County. The Lady panthers will face Warner Robins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the boys will take on Warner Robins at 7 p.m. on Saturday. McIntosh will host Fayette County on Friday night in what is always a fun and excited atmosphere. Fayette County is not scheduled to participate in a holiday tournament, nor is Sandy Creek, who is scheduled to play at East Coweta on Friday night. McIntosh's boys will play in a tournament in Callaway after Christmas, while the Lady Chiefs will play in the Starr's Mill tournament. Our Lady of Mercy will play in the Tattnall County Holiday Classic, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday
