The Fayette County High School Sports Hall of Fame nomination committee is encouraging nominations from the public for induction in 2003. Nominations can be mailed to Charles Warr, Principal of the school. The deadline for submitting nominations is Jan. 6, 2003.

Those eligible for induction include all FCHS graduates who have been out of school at least 10 years. Former coaches who have departed five or more years may also be nominated. "Fayette County High School has a proud tradition of excellence, having served our county since 1925," said Warr. "throughout the years, there have been many alumni who should be recognized for their exemplary contributions and outstanding accomplishments. I look forward to receiving the names of nominees and forwarding them to the committee."

Those wishing to nominate someone for the Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame should send a letter stating the candidate to be nominated, the sport or sports played, their graduation year, honors (if known) and other reasons for consideration. The nomination should be sent to Charles Warr, Principal, Fayette County High School, 1 Tiger Trail, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.
