Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran plans service of healing Dec. 2 Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer a special prayer and healing service Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. The theme is "Finding Joy in difficult times." Although everyone is invited, those who are sick, or who want to stand in for someone who is, and those who have experienced a loss through death or divorce and are finding it difficult to cope with the holidays are encouraged to attend. Military families who have loved ones away from home and anyone who has lost a job also may find comfort in the service. The service will feature the flute choir, special readings and other music, a time for reflection, communion, and, for those who desire it, anointing with oil and laying on of hands.
