'Jesus freak' coach is refreshing change

Mark Richt, head football coach at the University of Georgia, is a Jesus freak. Now, I said that. He didn't say it. The media didn't say it. The Public Relations Office of UGA's Athletic Association didn't say it. Richt, in his quiet and demurring fashion, would probably say that he a simple follower of Jesus Christ. In my way of thinking, however, the Georgia coach is a Jesus freak.

Four to be ordained at Christ the King this Sunday

Four area men, William Jonathan Shelton, Jerome Scott De Leo, James Anthony McGee and Ronald Frank Clemmer, are scheduled to be ordained to the ministry Sunday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. in the new sanctuary of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church.

Dawn Robinson, a World Trade Center survivor, will speak at Abundant Life Worship Center in Tyrone on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 10:45 a.m.

First Presbyterian hosts Celebration Sunday

First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will celebrate the end of its "40 Days of Connection" campaign, with one service on Nov. 24, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at noon. Following a short break, members will convene in the celebration tent for a meal and special program.
