The pad has been resurfaced and the rest of the original equipment has been refurbished and laid out in a new configuration. The cost of the new eauipment is $25,000, while the resurfacing cost around $1,500. The new and improved skate park will give many options to skaters and bladers of all levels. Remaining from the original design are ramps of six feet, five fee t and four feet as well as a trick box, a small grind box and a three foot wedge. Athletic coordinator Jim O'Connell also plans to add a few grind rails in the near future. The new equipment was being put together on Monday and there was still some painting to be done but the park should be open for skaters today.
