A
guide to voting smart
When you end up
waiting an hour or more before you can cast your ballot at the polls
Nov. 5, what do you think will be the reason? Two separate acts of stupidity
may account for it.
Georgia
citizens ignorant of basic science
Two recent events
lead inexorably to the conclusion that the citizens of Georgia are extremely
ignorant of basic science. SAT scores announced a few weeks ago place
our students at the bottom compared with students nationwide. The recent
vote of the Cobb County School Board on the topic of creationism indicates
that Georgia parents and educators are just as ignorant as their children
and students in this subject.
Questioning
liberalism, not patriotism
Why is it that every
time Max Cleland's voting record is questioned, he fires back with a
string of irrelevant arguments about how Saxby Chambliss is calling
him unpatriotic?
About
'character' in Senate race
After reading every
letter from Mr. Fielder, I wonder where he would be today without his
hobby: Bill Clinton. I did notice that as a second career, he could
take up the spouting of out-of-context statistics and poorly explained
facts.
Another
opinion on gun laws
I would just like
to comment on the article written by David Epps about laws in Britain
on fire arms. Firstly and foremost, hand guns are illegal in Britain.
It's against the law to own one and the Reverend Michael Daggett should
abide by the laws just as we expect foreigners to abide by our laws
here. Its as simple at that.
