Nativity Episcopal to present Gospel of Mark October 23

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will present the entire Gospel of St. Mark in a one-performer presentation by the Rev. Joseph Morris, Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

Mark's Gospel Live will be the first presentation of this kind and is the result of a ensemble presentation of Mark's Gospel the Rev. Morris developed and directed at Transfiguration Church in Marietta in 1997.

"I've taken what I learned from directing Mark as an ensemble and scaled it back down to a one-performer presentation," said the Rev. Morris. "This is an opportunity to experience it as a whole, the way the ancient Christians largely illiterate experienced it."

The presentation takes about 110 minutes and will include a 10-minute intermission. While there is no charge, a free-will offering will be accepted. All are welcome.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is part of the 92 parishes in the Diocese of Atlanta and a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion. The church is at 130 Antioch Road. For more information, call the parish office at 770-460-6390 or check the web site at www.fayettenativity.com.
